Ive been a real estate agent for more than a year. The reason I chose to make real estate my new career is because I like to help people with selling and buying homes. Before real estate I was kind of a handy man. I was in the carpenters union in Las Vegas where I was a cabinet maker and finisher of new homes. I learned a lot about what people want in a new home and why. Sometimes I didnt understand the wants and whys so I had to learn to listen to what people want most when they buy, sell or rent a house.
My experience in electrical wiring started in Ohio as a teenager when I worked on my first doorbell which led me to electrical wiring and home repairs. I liked what I was doing because people paid me and trusted me in their homes to do small jobs. I needed more money so I went back to school for heating and air conditioning got EPA certified in Ohio and Nevada even got an associate degree in electronics.
I punched a time clock for years and got a steady pay check but I was not happy, I missed the freedom of my handy-man job. Then one day I met a professional handy-man no one special just a neighbor, we talked I found out he was someone I could trust. He was more than just a handy-man, he was a professional real estate agent. He sold me my house. So I went back to school to become a professional handy-man, a professional real estate agent.
